Born October 29, 1972, Gabrielle Monique Union is an actress most known for her cheerleader role as Isis in the movie Bring it On, opposite Kirsten Dunst. She has also played opposite blockbuster stars Martin Lawrence and Will Smith in the movie Bad Boys II as Syd and had a recurring role on the series City of Angels as a Dr. Courtney Ellis. Some fans remember her from her role in Deliver Us from Eva in 2003. In 2004, she starred in the movie Breakin’ All the Rules with Jamie Foxx, who is an Academy Award winner.
During 2005, Gabrielle Union starred in the series Night Stalker on ABC. The series did not last long, but it added to the resume of Gabrielle Union as well as her experience. During the same year, she starred alongside Cedric The Entertainer in a remake of The Honeymooners. The following year, Gabrielle Union starred in the music video of “I Love My Chick” with Busta Rhymes. In 2007, Gabrielle Union was busy as she played in The Perfect Holiday and Daddy’s Little Girl. In 2008, she has appeared on several episodes of “Ugly Betty” as Renee.
Before these roles, however, Gabrielle Union was still acting, but in a lesser capacity. She was actually in the ultra popular 10 Things I Hate About You as well as Love and Basketball. Before her roles in movies, Gabrielle Union was playing Vanessa in the popular TV series Sister, Sister. She also furthered her stardom with a recurring role as Keesha Hamilton from 1996-2007 on the popular TV show “7th Heaven”.
Although Gabrielle Union never intended to be an actress when she began college a series of events that landed her modeling gigs and eventually acting jobs allowed her to develop her acting skills. She is now an excellent actress and one with a bright future.
